Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient comfort
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with care team members
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
Support residents with dignity and respect, fostering a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (preferred: Pennsylvania certification or eligible to obtain)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
Comfortable with lifting and assisting patients; ability to perform physical aspects of the role
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Prior experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completed CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in basic patient care tasks and ADLs
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
Basic charting and documentation skills (paper or electronic)
