Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and safety
Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to deliver coordinated care
Support a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligibility to obtain
Active basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to connect with patients
Comfort with lifting, transfers, and physical aspects of patient care
Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach to caregiving

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care skills and understanding of infection control practices
Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
Familiarity with patient hygiene, feeding assistance, and mobility support
Basic charting and documentation skills, including electronic health records
Ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
