Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and fall-prevention by using proper transfer techniques
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents while following infection-control practices
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families, documenting care in the resident record
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized care plans are followed and updated
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification as required by Pennsylvania
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health/immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered approach
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work an 8-hour clinical shift
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL support
- Basic vital sign measurement and reporting
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear documentation and teamwork in a clinical setting
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
