Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, mobility)
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe patient transfers and positioning to prevent injury
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients
Document care accurately and timely to support continuity of care
Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver person-centered care
Support patients’ emotional needs by offering empathy, reassurance, and dignity

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain state certification)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Up-to-date immunizations and TB testing per facility policy
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Comfort with patient handling, transfers, and basic clinical tasks

Education

High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational clinical skills: taking vitals, basic patient assessments, ADLs
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
Basic electronic charting and documentation skills
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
