Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents
Assist with mobility and safe transfers using proper body mechanics
Document care clearly and timely in facility charts or electronic records
Communicate effectively with the care team and participate in care planning
Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
Support admissions, discharges, and resident transitions when needed

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain one

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assisting with ADLs
Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Basic charting and documentation practices
Infection control principles and safe hygiene practices
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
