Ultrasound Technician - General/OBGYN

Location: Durango, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 4x10-hour shifts, with call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations in general, OBGYN, and vascular imaging
Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures including drains and biopsies
Maintain high-quality diagnostic images and provide exceptional patient care
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate diagnoses
Operate and maintain Phillips ultrasound equipment and Fuji EPIC PACS system

Qualifications

Hold ARDMS certification (RDMS in General or OBGYN); RVT preferred
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Experience with ultrasound procedures, drains, and biopsies
Strong background in general and OBGYN ultrasound with vascular experience preferred
Willingness to work within a 60-mile radius and travel to the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular ultrasound techniques
Knowledge of sterile procedures for biopsies and drain placements
Experience with Phillips ultrasound equipment and Fuji EPIC PACS/EMR
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload of 8-10 studies per day
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
