Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts (12-hour), block scheduling, every other weekend, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday, standby call as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to newborns in the Special Care Nursery and postpartum mothers as needed
Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn assessment and resuscitation
Manage infants with respiratory distress using Bubble CPAP and High Flow
Administer IV therapy and maintain umbilical lines
Support breastfeeding and family bonding
Collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary team
Flex between SCN and postpartum units based on patient census

Qualifications

Current RN license in Washington State required
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU Level 2 and postpartum preferred
Must be skilled in attending deliveries and newborn resuscitation
Experience with Bubble CPAP, High Flow, and umbilical line placement
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of neonatal assessment and stabilization
Skilled in IV start and maintenance
Ability to titrate drips and manage TPN
Understanding of phototherapy and hypoglycemia management
Competent in transfer protocols to higher level of care
Familiarity with CPAP, BiPap, and ventilator support prior to transfer
