Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in our 35-bed Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and DM conditions
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Participate in open-book skills exam during orientation to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 1 year recent PCU or similar experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius rule verification
No artificial nails per facility policy
Must pass a pass/fail open-book exam with 90% or higher

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills for team collaboration
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Ability to titrate and manage multiple IV drips safely
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
