Location: Bakersfield, CA

End Date: 09-11-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts; includes one weekend every third weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy to acute inpatients across Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units
Treat patients with diverse diagnoses including general deconditioning, total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, orthopedic conditions, and CVA
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and mobility
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
Current BLS certification from AHA
Acute inpatient PT experience is a must
Ability to work one weekend every third weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and medically complex patients
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in electronic medical records
