Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to neuro telemetry patients, including those with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately
• Titrate intravenous drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes using sterile technique
• Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide bedside shift reports and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a neuro telemetry or similar step-down unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Comfortable with sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in drip titration (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin)
• Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
