Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Administer medications, treatments, and monitor vital signs with precision
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and a multidisciplinary team
Support and educate families throughout their baby's hospital journey
Perform advanced procedures including central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion while maintaining sterile field
Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR and monitor Phillips telemetry

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience highly preferred
Current BLS and NRP certifications from AHA
Cardiac STABLE certification required
Ability to pass SIMs lab demonstrating competency in sterile technique
Willingness to float to Mother Baby and Labor Care for babies only

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
Strong understanding of sterile field and infection control
Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills for high-acuity neonates
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Effective communication and family education skills
