Physical Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Redwood City, California
Start Date: 06-16-2026
End Date: 09-15-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, varying shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; occasional weekend requirement
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients across acute care units including orthopedics, total joints, ICU, med-surg, oncology, and cardiology
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage ventilated patients in the ICU and support recovery from cardiac surgeries
- Provide therapy for patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including complex medical conditions
Qualifications
- Active California Physical Therapist license
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- Experience with orthopedics and total joints
- Comfortable treating ICU and ventilated patients
- Ability to hit the ground running with minimal orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Cerner EMR
- Skilled in acute care settings including med-surg, telemetry, ICU
- Knowledge of orthopedic, cardiology, and oncology rehabilitation
- Experience with total joint protocols and ventilator management
