Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Titrate cardiac drips (Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine) with skill and precision
Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry for up to 4 patients per assignment
Float across telemetry, neuro, and med-surg units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient populations
Provide post-cath, post-vascular, post-CABG, and neuro surgical care in a dynamic environment
Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Pass a dysrhythmia exam and sim lab to demonstrate your expertise

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience titrating cardiac drips is a must
Ability to interpret EKGs and pass a dysrhythmia exam
NIHSS certification preferred for neuro unit floating
Willingness to float between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac drip titration and EKG interpretation
Strong floating and adaptability skills across telemetry, neuro, and med-surg units
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in using centralized telemetry monitoring systems
