Location: Bakersfield, California

End Date: 09-15-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute inpatients
Manage a caseload of 12+ patients per day with diverse diagnoses including ortho, neuro, and medical
Cover multiple units including Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license
BLS certification
Minimum of 1 year acute inpatient PT experience
Ability to work every third weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
Experience with orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
Excellent communication and teamwork
Proficiency in electronic medical records
