Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Various 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) including every other weekend and self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor drips like heparin and cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, social work, and dietitians
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support patient care
Champion patient experience through hourly rounding and genuine teamwork

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
ONS/ONCC and Chemotherapy Certification required
EPIC proficiency preferred but not required
Valid driver's license for radius rule verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of oncology patient care and trauma PCU management
Proficient in chemotherapy administration and handling hazardous drugs
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) - training available
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
