Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, various start times (7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a), self-scheduling, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a progressive care unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient-centered care
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Utilize EPIC for documentation and coordinate patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU and oncology
Willingness to take a pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation
Driver's license required

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration
PCU nursing and oncology patient care
EPIC proficiency
Experience with Alaris IV pumps
Knowledge of ventilator monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) - training provided
