End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, including every other weekend. Typical shift times: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a 28-bed PCU/Oncology/Med Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU or Oncology nursing experience (first-time travelers welcome)
Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
Valid driver's license for verification of radius rule
Comfortable floating to Med Surg and PCU units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

IV Therapy and medication administration
Patient assessment and critical care monitoring
Oncology and trauma care experience
Drip titration (insulin, cardizem)
Ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz)
EPIC EMR proficiency preferred
Charge nurse experience
