Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions, including CVICU step-down and thoracic surgery recovery
Titrate and manage critical drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, epinephrine, and cardizem
Support the thoracic program, EP lab, cath lab, and structural heart services
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, with remote telemetry support
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiology team for 24/7 patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular or intermediate care setting
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license and ability to comply with the 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to care for patients with CHF, A-fib RVR, CVA, and post-cardiac intervention
Comfortable with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula oxygen delivery
