Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and manage cardiac, nephrology, and stroke patients
Participate in an open-book orientation exam to demonstrate clinical skills
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact license if outside 50 miles)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license
Previous PCU or step-down experience preferred
Positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Ability to titrate multiple IV medications safely
Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities
Adaptability to work in a high-acuity environment
Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
