Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with at least one weekend per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and telemetry patients in a 32-bed acute unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding to changes in patient condition
Administer chemotherapy and manage symptom management for oncology patients (with certification)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCTs, charge nurses, and resource nurses
Perform central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions with strict sterile technique
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Current and active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of recent oncology or telemetry experience
Ability to pass a pass/fail exam on Day 1 of orientation
Comfort with sterile technique for central line and Foley procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Knowledge of oncology nursing, including chemo administration and symptom management
Understanding of sterile field maintenance for invasive procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
