Location: Pueblo, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling with flexibility; every other weekend and holiday required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine mobility and functional status
Facilitate early mobilization for acute medical, surgical, and orthopedic inpatients
Assess safety for discharge and coordinate transfer to rehabilitation units when needed
Work independently with a diverse patient population, including ICU, IMC, and med/surg
Collaborate with COTAs and the rehab team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience in acute inpatient, med/surg, and ICU settings preferred
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of 8-10 patients per day

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient evaluation and early mobilization techniques
Strong knowledge of discharge planning and safety assessments
Familiarity with CVA/stroke, neuropathy, and general weakness cases
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
