Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days/nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care to patients with cardiac and vascular conditions, including post-surgical CVICU downgrades
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, identifying arrhythmias and changes in patient status
Titrate critical drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, epinephrine, and cardizem to manage blood pressure and heart rhythms
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, hospitalists, and cardiologists
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Ensure patient safety and adhere to unit policies, including no artificial nails

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
At least 1 year of experience with cardiovascular/intermediate care patient population
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license (required at submission to verify 50-mile radius from facility)
Ability to interpret telemetry and manage titratable drips

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiovascular nursing and intermediate care expertise
Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Drip titration for blood pressure and heart rate management
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficient in using telemetry equipment and remote monitoring systems
