Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends (every other weekend) and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as charge nurse overseeing the unit and coordinating patient care
Administer medications safely and accurately to residents
Perform wound care treatments and monitor healing progress
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including PT and social services
Provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a 26-bed long-term care facility
Maintain accurate documentation in the Matrix EMR system

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
Current BLS certification (required upon start)
At least one year of long-term care experience preferred
Must be comfortable with a 1:10 day or 1:19 night nurse-to-resident ratio
No IV or telemetry responsibilities required
Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in long-term care nursing, including dementia and chronic disease management
Proficiency in medication administration and wound care
Strong leadership skills to function as charge nurse
Familiarity with Matrix EMR or similar electronic health records
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
