Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to a diverse patient population in PCU/IMC units across multiple facilities within Zone 1
• Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and other medications safely and effectively
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float between different units and hospitals as needed, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with patients and families
• Serve as a resource for patient education and support during their recovery

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proven experience with cardiac drips, insulin, Ativan, and heparin titration
• Strong communication and flexibility for floating across multiple units and facilities
• Preference for candidates with neuro and Epic experience

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of PCU/IMC patient care including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Skill in titrating cardiac drips and managing insulin, heparin, and sedatives
• Ability to adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Epic electronic health records
• Team player with a positive, 'can-do' attitude
