Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM, nights 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend, includes holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions including cardiac, respiratory, and renal issues in a 40-bed PCU
Titrate critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, and Amiodarone to maintain patient stability
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to rhythm changes promptly
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Provide patient education and support to diverse cultural populations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial line management and telemetry interpretation
Ability to titrate multiple IV drips

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Knowledge of high flow oxygen therapy
Experience with vein finders and bladder scanners
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient conditions
