Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Manage ventilators, monitor cardiac and respiratory status
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile technique
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team
Support families through education and emotional care
Float to Mother-Baby or Labor & Delivery as needed, caring for babies only

Qualifications

2+ years of Level 4 NICU experience (will consider busy Level 3 with strong background)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Previous travel experience preferred
Ability to pass SIMs Lab on day 1 for Foley and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong understanding of sterile field maintenance
Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Knowledge of neonatal ventilators and telemetry (Phillips)
Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal emergencies
