Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including post-surgical and stroke cases
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKGs, responding to changes promptly
Collaborate with a dedicated team of charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and PCTs
Maintain sterile field during procedures and ensure patient safety
Assess and manage patients with neuro conditions like CVAs, spine surgeries, and post-craniotomies

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro or telemetry (within the last 6 months)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts)
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
Strong understanding of sterile technique and EKG interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Excellent sterile technique and infection control practices
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 28-bed neuro unit with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios
Effective communication and teamwork skills
