Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a 35-bed PCU
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess neurological status
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain a positive attitude and strong critical thinking in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Valid driver's license for identification
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cardiac, nephrology, and neurological conditions
Proficiency in titrating IV drips and managing multiple infusions
Experience with continuous EEG monitoring
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
