Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg and ER patients, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
Titrate medications and drips such as insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and participate in codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis
Float between Med Surg and Emergency Department as needed, responding to traumas and stabilizing critical patients
Read and document telemetry strips using Mindray monitors
Collaborate with a small team including one CNA and one other licensed nurse to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

Must have ER experience to be considered
Ability to work independently with minimal staff in a 24-hour department
Comfortable with direct communication with hospitalists and coordinating with flight transport
Willingness to work every 3rd weekend and rotate holidays

Knowledge & Skills

IV start and PICC/Port care
Titrating drips and tele strip reading
Proficiency with Meditech EMR
Experience with Bipap, high flow, and Hamilton T1 vent (patients typically transferred)
