Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekend shifts as per unit rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to neuro telemetry patients in a fast-paced 32-bed unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs with central monitoring support
Titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile technique
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, nurse aides, and SWAT IV nurses
Deliver bedside report and ensure seamless shift transitions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in neuro telemetry
Level 1 trauma experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Ability to pass SIMs lab for Foley and central line skills on day 1
Comfortable floating to tele units and ICU overflow

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation skills
Proficient in titrating cardiac drips (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin)
Experience with Cerner EMR
Excellent sterile field maintenance
Neuro telemetry patient care including CVA, TBI, and spinal surgery
Effective communication and teamwork
