Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; includes weekend and holiday rotations

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients on a high-flow PCU unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret rhythms to detect changes
Titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, and octreotide
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage admissions, transfers, and discharges
Float to Med/Surg or other units as needed based on patient acuity

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license for identification
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% or higher
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in PCU nursing and telemetry monitoring
Proficiency in drip titration and medication management
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Experience with high-acuity patients including cardiac and stroke
