Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, including every other weekend, holidays (1 major, 1 minor), and rotating call with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray imaging of various body parts including brain, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment with precision
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for accurate diagnoses
Maintain equipment and adhere to radiation safety protocols

Qualifications

ARRT certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-ray Tech
Willingness to float to Mercy Southwest (approx. 6.5 miles away)
Ability to work every other weekend and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with GE and Toshiba imaging systems
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
