Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, no block scheduling, rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
Operate GE equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity for image management and documentation
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, following ALARA principles
Float to Mercy Downtown (approximately 6.5 miles away) as needed
Participate in rotating call coverage for weekday after-hours and weekends

Qualifications

Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques (cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, etc.)
Experience with GE nuclear medicine equipment
Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Ability to start IVs (not required for this position but preferred)
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
