Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day or night shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend; self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed within scope
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow hourly rounding protocols
Serve as a charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit flow and supporting staff

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certification required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Driver's license required for radius verification
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Strong oncology and PCU clinical skills
Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and handling
Experience with titration of cardiac and sedation drips
Knowledge of emergency response and hemodynamic monitoring
Team player with a positive attitude and genuine patient care focus
Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds
