Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), schedule varies; 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week period

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms, titrate heparin drips, and assess patient conditions
Float across multiple specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Prior neuro experience preferred
Willingness to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt to different facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in MS-Tele nursing, including heparin titration
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
Comfortable with floating and adapting to various unit specialties
