Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including every other weekend, holidays as needed, and on-call with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies including Brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Operate GE and Toshiba scanners to capture detailed images
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver accurate results
Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control standards
Float to Mercy Southwest location as needed

Qualifications

ARRT certification required
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Tech
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call
Comfortable floating to another site approximately 6.5 miles away

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR systems
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to handle high volume of scans (approx. 100 per day)
