Sonographer - General and OBGYN

Location: Durango, CO

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10-hour shifts, variable days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Includes call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend, plus holidays as needed.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound exams with precision and care
Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures including drains and biopsies
Ensure high-quality imaging and patient comfort throughout exams
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver accurate diagnoses
Maintain ultrasound equipment and document studies in EPIC electronic health records

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with General or OB/GYN specialty required
Experience with ultrasound procedures (drains, biopsies) is a must
RVT or RDCS certifications preferred
Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment starting July 6, 2026

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound techniques
Skills in ultrasound-guided procedures and patient interaction
Experience with EPIC EMR and Fuji PACS systems
Knowledge of Phillips ultrasound equipment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
