Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 24-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit, managing conditions such as CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD.
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring timely response to cardiac changes and collaborating with telemetry technicians.
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Administer medications, manage drips as needed, and educate patients and families on care plans.
Float to all med/surg units as required to support staffing needs.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Med/Surg Telemetry.
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays as required.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD management.
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation.
Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
