Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU with 71 beds
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile field precision
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and a dedicated PCT to ensure top-notch patient outcomes
Monitor and support premature infants, cardiac defects, and surgical cases including ECMO and cooling
Float to mother-baby and labor care units as needed (babies only)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience preferred
Must pass SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on Day 1
Comfortable with sterile field maintenance - it's a must for this role
Ability to commit to a 50-mile radius rule (DL is source of truth)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in NICU nursing, including high-risk and critical care
Proficiency in Foley catheter insertion and central line care
Knowledge of sterile field and aseptic technique
Experience with Cerner EMR
Familiarity with Phillips telemetry
Understanding of ventilator management (RT-managed) and cardiac monitoring
