Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with weekend rotation every other weekend. Self-scheduling available.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/MedSurg environment
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects, with training available if needed
Manage titratable drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
Champion patient experience through hourly rounding and respectful, culturally sensitive care

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU/MedSurg or Oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
ONS/ONCC certification preferred, but not required
Chemotherapy certification is a plus
Driver's license required at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
Experience with ventilator care and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to titrate common drips like insulin, cardizem, and heparin
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to a mixed unit caring for oncology and trauma patients
