Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts rotating between days and nights, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, renal, and neurological conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous medications including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Work collaboratively with charge nurses and techs in a fast-paced 35-bed unit
Utilize critical thinking to manage continuous EEG monitoring and complex patient needs
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU experience preferred
Comfortable titrating drips and managing telemetry
Valid driver's license for ID purposes

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to titrate cardiac and seizure medications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in continuous EEG monitoring
Critical thinking in high-acuity settings
