Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, self-scheduling; weekend requirement: every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday; holiday requirement: every other winter holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
Manage triage of obstetric patients and perform as the baby catcher/transition nurse
Titrate Pitocin drips and monitor fetal status using OBIX EFM system
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia teams to ensure safe deliveries
Support postpartum recovery and newborn transition, including initial assessments and breastfeeding assistance

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience in an LDRP setting
Active RN license in Colorado (compact eligible)
Current BLS, ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Skilled in triage, labor support, and newborn resuscitation
Experience with Pitocin titration and high-risk obstetrics
Ability to function independently as the sole L&D nurse on shift
