Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes every other weekend (Friday-Sunday) and half of winter holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum in our LDRP unit
Perform triage assessments and manage obstetric emergencies
Function as the baby catcher/transition nurse, ensuring safe newborn care and stabilization
Monitor and manage Pitocin drips and other medications as needed
Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to deliver personalized care in a rural hospital setting
Support both scheduled and emergency C-sections as part of the unit

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience, including LDRP training
Active RN license (compact acceptable)
Current BLS, ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Ability to triage independently and manage newborns in transition
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rural environment with limited resources

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and OBIX EFM system
Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and high-risk pregnancies
Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to floating to med-surg (rare) as needed
