Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to neuro telemetry patients with conditions like CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, titrate cardiac drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin) as ordered
Collaborate with a fast-paced team in a 32-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform bedside report, central line dressing changes, and Foley catheter insertion (SIMs lab pass required)
Float to tele overflow units and ICU as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro telemetry or similar acute care setting
Must have Level 1 Trauma experience
Active, unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts) and SIMs lab on first day of orientation
No facial piercings, natural hair color, and clean-shaven for fit test (men)
Travelers must have their own vehicle

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
Proficiency in titrating IV drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin)
Experience with Cerner EMR and WOWs
Comfortable with central line care, Foley catheter insertion, and sterile technique
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
