Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust respiratory care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and families regarding respiratory disease processes, interventions, and discharge plans
Accept reassignment to other units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for best practices
Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care interventions
Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining clear communication with medical and nursing staff

Qualifications

Associate's degree required
Current and active Illinois Respiratory Therapist license
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
BLS certification required
NRP-MHC certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy

Education

Associate's degree required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary care and respiratory therapy protocols
Proficient in using EMR systems, specifically Point Click
Ability to float to clinically appropriate units within scope of practice
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Team-oriented with a commitment to quality patient care
