Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms for early detection of changes
Provide expert nursing care to patients with neurological, cardiovascular, and pulmonary conditions
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in telemetry or neuro (within the past 6 months)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Must pass Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam prior to start (max 2 attempts)
Ability to interpret EKGs and manage central telemetry

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
Experience with neuro patients, including CVAs and pulmonary conditions
Proficiency in using electronic health records
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
