Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 x 10-hour shifts, on-call rotation required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile field for a variety of surgical procedures
Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations
Perform scrub duties for general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, OBGYN, and endoscopy cases
Take on-call shifts to support emergency and scheduled surgeries
Ensure proper handling and documentation of surgical specimens
Uphold strict aseptic technique to promote patient safety

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent experience as a scrub technician
Current BLS/BCLS certification from the American Heart Association
Proven experience in general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, OBGYN, and endoscopy
Comfortable taking call and working flexible shifts
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in surgical scrubbing and sterile technique
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation for multiple specialties
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
Familiarity with OR protocols and safety standards
Effective communication and teamwork skills
