Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to neuro telemetry patients in a 28-bed unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and EKGs, identifying abnormalities promptly
Maintain sterile field during procedures and ensure infection control protocols
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, hospitalists, and respiratory therapists for optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, stroke recovery, and neuro conditions
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in neuro or telemetry nursing
Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to interpret EKGs and pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia monitoring
Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
