Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 18:00 - 07:00, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse med/surg telemetry patient population
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure patient safety
Manage patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team including charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators
Float to all med/surg units as needed to support patient care
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Great communication and time management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips
Experience with med/surg telemetry nursing
Comfortable managing CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry strip reading
CPAP/BiPAP/high flow management
Med/surg nursing skills including CHF, diabetes, PNA, and CKD management
Effective communication and teamwork
Time management in a fast-paced environment
