Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology and trauma patients on a progressive care unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses with precision
Titrate common drips like heparin and cardizem as ordered
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team
Champion patient experience by hourly rounding and respecting cultural diversity

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU/Oncology experience required
Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
EPIC experience preferred, but not a deal breaker
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
Experience with chemotherapy administration and infusion pumps (Alaris)
Comfortable titrating insulin and cardizem infusions
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, diverse patient population
